According to the Can-Am League website, the Newark Bears have signed 26-year-old RHP Jake Wild.

Wild hasn’t quite lived up to his name, allowing 2.9 walks per nine innings through his career.

The Seattle Mariners selected Wild in the 27th round of the 2007 draft. He spent four seasons in their farm system, making it all the way to AA. Wild spent most of last season with the High Desert Mavericks in the Class A California League, where he had a 6-5 record with a 5.35 ERA working out of the rotation and in the bullpen.
