According to Dave Webber, who tries to obtain every minor league team set so he can offer singles to people who collect particular minor league players, there were 28 independent league baseball card sets this year, “the lowest figure for some time.”
In the Atlantic League, Camden, Lancaster, Long Island, Somerset, Southern Maryland (DAV) and York issued sets. Bridgeport, and obviously the Road Warriors, did not.
In the Can-Am League, Brockton (DAV), New Jersey and Quebec made sets. Newark, Pittsfield, Rockland, Worcester and the traveling New York Federals did not.
If anybody has a lead on tracking down the complete Brockton set, I’d appreciate it.
