Thank You & Happy New Year

Today is the final day of 2011, and I want to take the time to thank everyone who’s visited Paul’s Random Baseball Stuff this year. While I certainly don’t get the traffic that the more well-known websites do, I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my ramblings.

I started my first blog in December 2004 without any particular plan… I just thought it would be fun to have a place to write about and share things that I was interested in. I never expected to have more than a handful of people read it.

This year, despite the number of other outlets for people to read about the New York Mets (and the team’s disappointing performance), I actually saw my website traffic increase above my 2010 numbers. I was also honored to receive an award from Shannon Shark at MetsPolice.com, a blog that I have a great deal of respect for.

While I appreciate all of my readers, I especially want to thank the ones who take the time to talk with me – via the comment section, emails, Twitter or in person when I run into them at a ballpark or baseball card show.

I want to wish you all a happy and healthy new year.

Happy New Year to you, Paul. I discovered your site earlier this year and am glad I did. We share an interest in the Mets, Bears, and autographs. Your site is simple yet your observations are interesting, without the self-importance that smothers the sites of other writers. All the best for 2012. See you at Newark, Somerset, or Trenton in the season to come.
