Last week, Mike Damman gave his 2012 Eastern League Prospect team over at Seedlings to Stars.

Three Mets system players are on the list: shortstop Wilmer Flores and starting pitchers Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler. No Yankees players were picked – after being spoiled with Jesus Montero, Dellin Betances and Manny Banuelos in recent years, it looks like the Trenton Thunder may be a bit boring this year.

Which prospects are you looking forward to seeing in the Eastern League this year?

  1. Maybe the BMets will actually be ok this year! The city could use a championship contender and help increase interest around the team.

I’m interested to see whether Manny Machado or Jonathan Schoop move up to Bowie this year. I’m currently giving Schoop the edge, since he’s a little older and has an extra professional season under his belt, but he’s been battling some injuries this spring, so who knows?
