This week, the mail brought three signed cards.
Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Daniel Hudson is the best-known of the three. He finished last season with a 16-12 record and a 3.49 ERA for the NL West Division Champs. Hudson won the NL Silver Slugger Award, batting .277 with a home run and 14 RBI. The first time I ever saw Hudson pitch, he limited the Mets to one run on three hits over eight innings, and he got a hit to drive in a pair of runs.
I was surprised to see this card of Phillies reliever Antonio Bastardo again. I had mailed it to him at the Phillies spring training camp in 2011 and asked him to sign it. It’s interesting to me that he placed his signature in a tiny blank spot at the bottom of the card rather than signing over the photo.
First baseman Brandon Snyder played in a handful of games for the Baltimore Orioles the last two seasons, but his contract was sold to the Texas Rangers this winter. Snyder made the Texas squad as a bench player.
What autographs did you get this week?

I gotta be honest. The immature kid in me always chuckles when I see the name “Bastardo.” lol
