The first series of Topps 2013 baseball cards are due to arrive in hobby shops on January 30th, but you could get lucky and spot them at retailers like Target and WalMart earlier.

The official checklist has been released, and it’s going to rub salt in the wound for Mets fans: R.A. Dickey and Jason Bay are both included as Mets.

WOAH. With the exception of Harper at #1 and #42, I think ever player through 66 has a card number matching his uni number. And it repeats with the 100s and 200s. I haven’t cross-checked them all, but after glancing at most, it sure appears that way.

Wow, that’s by far the most Orioles that Topps has included in a single series issue in a looong time, even if a few of them are no longer Orioles. Thanks for sharing Paul, I’ve been looking for this list over the past few weeks.

I guess a playoff appearance is good for getting Topps’ attention. :-)

I hope I’m feeling it in a couple of weeks, but I’m not really excited about 2013 baseball cards yet.

Any luck finding them at retail locations yet?
