The New York Mets’ pitchers and catchers will be officially reporting to Port St. Lucie two weeks from today.

I’ve never been to spring training, and a trip is not in the cards this year. However, I did pick up a couple of spring training program inserts in a small lot of Mets items recently. Can you identify the autographs that this Met fan got in 2010 and 2011?

  2. SC says:

2010 autographs are Daniel Murphy, Tim Teufel & Fernando Nieve
2011 autographs are Chris Young, Tim Teufel, Terry Collins. Not sure who #47 is.

Miguel Bautista wore #47 during the season for the 2011 Mets, but that’s clearly not his signature. According to spring training photo day, Taylor Tankersley had #47. And it looks like he simplified his signature.

SC has them right, and NJ Baseball correctly identified the mystery signature as belonging to almost-Met Taylor Tankersley.
