Former New York Mets infielder Mario Ramirez passed away last week, according to a report by CyberNews and reposted in English by the BaseballNecrology Yahoo Group.
Ramirez made his major league debut with the Mets in 1980, appearing in 18 games. That winter, the San Diego Padres selected him in the Rule 5 draft and he went on to play in a total of 166 games for them over the next five seasons.
Ramirez is the second former Met to die in 2013; Ed Bouchee passed away on January 23rd.

That’s too bad. Way to young to be taken from us, imo.
