The Brooklyn Cyclones 2013 promo schedule is out, filled with popular giveaways like jerseys and bobbleheads. Some of the best ones are only available to ticket plan holders, but the majority can be had if you get to the ballpark early.

Johan Santana  (July 3rd) and Daniel Murphy (August 26th) lead the bobblehead lineup, though I can’t say I’m fond of the concept art for Murphy’s.  (There’s also a “Dr. Sandy” (August 17th) one that would give me nightmares if it turns out anything like the concept art.)

For those who prefer garden gnomes, the Cyclones have you covered on July 19th.

“Jersday Thursdays” are back, though my favorite is actually scheduled for a Wednesday, August 14th. A Brooklyn Cyclones “hockey jersey” seems like fun.

Individual game tickets will go on sale in May. Hopefully I’ll manage to get to one or two Brooklyn Cyclones games this summer.

Oh my God, that Dr. Sandy thing is a B-movie horror flick waiting to happen. I hope they rethink that one. Then again, stuff that I think is pointless or ugly (like short print squirrel cards) tend to do well on the secondary market. Proving again I’m just getting too old for all this…stuff.

Dr. Sandy definitely belongs in a no-budget horror film. I will be surprised if it ends up being a popular giveaway, but I’ve learned that I just can’t predict what other people will like.
