Martinez re-signs with Newark
The Newark Bears have re-signed infielder Juan Martinez, according to the Can-Am League website’s transactions page. The 25-year-old from Bakersfield, Calif. began the 2011 season with the York Revolution in the Atlantic League, but was released after hitting .194 (6-for-31) in 12 games.
