So this is what we did before MLB.com…

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for winning the National League pennant. I saw the NLCS Game 7 results in the newspaper, but I imagine many learned what happened from the internet.

If there had been baseball playoffs in 1994, fans could have learned what happened by downloading Microsoft’s Baseball Daily with their 2400-baud or higher Hayes-compatible modem for just $1.25 per issue.

Does anyone remember subscribing to Microsoft Baseball Daily?

  1. I don’t think I got internet access until about ’96 or ’97. I used to read Baseball Weekly though. It later became the more generic Sports Weekly, which I seldom buy.
