Mets baseball cards in Topps Series 2

David Wright's 2014 Topps baseball card from my collection

David Wright’s 2014 Topps baseball card from my collection

The New York Mets have made it past the half-way point of the 2014 season, and I think everyone realizes that they won’t be reaching 90 victories this year. Terry Collins and the Mets players may be the only ones who still think they have a chance to climb back into the pennant race.

But we still get to watch baseball, and sometimes we still do get to see the Mets win.

And in a few more days, David Wright should finally be ready to return to the lineup and the Mets will stop playing short-handed.

So let’s celebrate by taking a look at some of the Mets baseball cards in Topps Series 2, which came out earlier this month.
